Hunting 2010

We went back to the ranch in Jordan Valley this year for deer hunting, I was looking forward to seeing the freemans again and the fun I knew the kids would have. I was not looking forward to hunting the land we hunt while we are there. Every piece of sage brush looks like it could be a buck, its dry, brown and no trees in sight. The roads are bumpy and very uncomfortable to drive. But while Ryan and I were out on a 4 wheeler ride I actually looked at the country we were hunting not so much looking for animals but looking at the land God has created for us! It may not be lush and green but it is BEAUTIFUL. You can see for miles, and on this night the sun was setting behind the rolling hills into the purple and red sky. A beautiful picture that God created just for me.

After that night I had a completely different outlook on the land we were hunting. Enjoying the time to spend with my Husband where he is in his element, (Ryan totally comes to life when we are out in "Gods Country" he says it is his Church.) and really looking at Gods Creation. The beauty of his Masterpiece.

ANGEL FLIGHT RadioTowerDVDMix.mpg

My Mom shared this video with me today, it brought me to tears. I have many friends that are either serving our country now or Just got home. I am amazed at how these people go and risk there lives for us and our country. I could not even imagine leaving my family and the life I know and am comfortable with to go and fight the war that we are in. I was shocked when a friend of mine told me that her 5th grade daughter asked what September 11th was. I asked Nick if he knew and he had no clue. It is very sad to me that we live in a world where we have so many fighting for us and our children are not even educated about it. So often we get in to OUR lives and forget that there are people out there who are fighting to give us this life we so often take for granted. Thank you to all you who are serving or family of those who are serving and putting your life on the line for ME.

Nick's Surprise

This year for Nick's Birthday I decided to redecorate his room. A week before his birthday I sent him to Idaho with Ryan's Grandma and Grandpa. He loved it there he enjoyed making new friends and getting a taste of the really small town life. He helped Grandma Judy get ready for the Annual Swine and dine and of course got spoiled!!! He went Fishing with Uncle Tony and Tyler his first time fishing in a boat. He caught 7 fish and Drank 7 Mt DEWs Uncle Tony said he had no Idea that he drank that many. Well While he was having all of the fun Ryan, my Mom and I were working our rears off and totally redoing his room. I am bummed that I didn't get any before pics but this is what he came home to and his reaction. I think he LOVED it! His reaction was just like on extreme home make over!

The best coffee ever

My cousin works at Alterra coffee in Milwaukee. I was spoiled while I was gone and had the best coffee ever! The location where she works roasts the coffee beans right there it was really neat. I forgot my camera the day we went there so I didn't get any pictures.

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
