A taste of the Ranch life.

So I have my laptop back and I have been anxiously waiting to post so here goes....

October 7th was our 8 year anniversary and at 6:00 am we loaded into Ryans dads truck headed to Jordan Vally to go hunting for a week. We had made plans to stay at the house of some people that my in laws went to high school with and have not spoken to since. We finally showed up there 8 1/2 hours later and we were totally Blessed by these total strangers that agreed to let us stay there. They were some of the nicest people we have ever met. They gave us and the Kids experiences we will never forget. Thank you Freeman family for the life long friendships and memories.

On Thursday morning we woke up to the sound of cows, they were sorting and separating cows getting ready to send them to auction. They let Nick get right in there with a cattle prod, I don't really think he was all that much help but he had fun.(don't worry it was not a hot shot)

Nick and Whitney helping harvest potatoes out of the garden.

Nick and his new best friend Sassy. He didn't want to leave the ranch but most of all he didn't want to leave Sassy. Sassy is an older horse and very gentle the didn't saddle her up they just put a bridle on her and let nick go. They did tell us if she starts to trot then she is not as easy to ride. Well Nick got comfortable on her very quick and started to kick her to get her to go and he fell off but he wanted right back on her. We are going to blow up a couple of pictures of the two of them together and give them to him for Christmas. He still talks about her daily.

A view of the Ranch.

What a cool experience for them! It doesn't surprise me one bit that Nick got right back on that horse!

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
