So some of you know that my dad had his appendix out about two weeks ago. Well GOD was definitely working there. The surgery went well, but while the pathologist was examining the appendix she found a .02mm size spot of cancer. Normally when they are going in to remove cancer they take a 10% area around the spot but since they had no idea it was there they only got a 2% area so yes dad gets to go to Portland to OHSU to have part of his colon taken out and to test his Lymph nods (sp). This happens on the 21st so please be in prayer. It is very rare to see cancer in the appendix and the kind of cancer is very fast moving so we know the reason why dad had to have his appendix out. It is all very hard we are all trying to be strong and believe there will be no more cancer. since we really don't know everything Mom and Dad have asked that we keep it to a small # of people so if you would just keep this as quite as possible for now. thanks and I will keep everyone posted prayers are appreciated and all we can do.

Oh, praise God for a ruptured appendix...(not something I would normally say).
I will pray for him and your mom!
I will definately keep your dad and family in my prayers. God has a plan!
So sorry to hear this. Someone told me the other day and we have been praying and will continue to be praying. Darrin's aunt just found out a few weeks ago she had a cancerous tumor above her heart. It did not look good. She had surgery today and they think they removed everything and they are thinking she is going to be just fine. So remember God is good and faithful and I have faith that everything is going to be okay for your dad.
Praying for your dad and your whole family! Cancer sucks but God can teach you alot when you are dealing with it!
Praying for all of you!
Hold fast to your faith... and lean on Him for comfort, peace and understanding!
